Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Shanghai, China As the rapid growth of the pet industry gives way to a more competitive market, channel development has become a central challenge for businesses. Boundaries between e-commerce, livestream creators, community group buying, physical stores and regional distributors are increasingly blurred, creating new ways to reach customers and changing how products move through the market.
The 11th Pet Industry Distributor (E-commerce) Conference and 2nd Pet Industry New Channel Summit will be held on February 24, 2027, as a concurrent event of Pet Sourcing Fair China (PSC) 2027 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Under the theme “All-Channel Collaboration, Collective Breakthrough,” the conference will bring together distributors, retail chains, e-commerce platforms, pet content creators and other industry professionals.
The conference is organized by Times Pet, hosted by Petxing Tianxia Media, and supported by the Pet Economy Research Institute of Zhujiang College, South China Agricultural University, and Shifang Forum. Free pre-registration is now open.
Now in its 11th edition, the Pet Industry Distributor (E-commerce) Conference has followed the development of China’s pet industry channels over the past decade. From traditional offline distribution and marketplace e-commerce to content commerce, livestreaming, private customer communities and group buying, each stage has brought new ways for brands and distributors to connect with buyers.
Rather than focusing on abstract concepts, the conference aims to address practical channel challenges and encourage supply-and-demand connections and resource sharing. Its previous sessions have brought industry participants together to discuss the changes affecting their businesses. Read more about the 2025 PSC conference program.
Pet businesses are facing a more complex operating environment. Domestic brands are expanding, while manufacturers, distributors and retailers are also dealing with excess capacity, product similarity, higher customer acquisition costs, online price competition and shrinking channel margins.
At the same time, customer traffic is spread across more channels. Regional distributors and physical stores build local customer relationships; e-commerce sellers depend on platform search and repeat purchases; livestreaming and short-form content can introduce products to new audiences; and private communities and group buying create additional sales opportunities.
Relying on a single channel can make growth difficult to sustain. The conference theme, “All-Channel Collaboration, Collective Breakthrough,” reflects the need for brands, manufacturers, distributors and online sellers to work together, share market information and explore new opportunities in a changing market. Participants can also learn about PSC’s business matchmaking opportunities for connecting with potential partners.
The conference will bring together brand operators, experienced regional distributors, e-commerce platform representatives, pet content creators, supply chain businesses and new retail operators. Planned discussion areas include:
These discussions are intended for professionals navigating channel changes in their day-to-day work, including distributors, brand managers, factory representatives, e-commerce operators, livestream creators, pet store owners and industry service providers.
Successful pre-registrants can enter the conference free of charge and take part in the full-day forum, business discussions and networking activities. Registered attendees can also receive conference materials, speaker information and a directory of participating brands. Pre-registration helps attendees avoid on-site registration queues.
